Crisis, a comic novel, was published in Australia in 1996 as an Arrow paperback (ISBN 0-09-183256-X). Its author, Jack Power, was described as "an expatriate Australian living in Ireland". Frank Hardy called the book "a rollicking yarn of middle-class low life. Carmel Bird endorsed it as "Jack Power's funniest book yet".
